The Pittsburgh Fan was opened because of an opportunity to purchase a building across from PNC Park in November of 2005. The Pittsburgh Fan offers Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, Pittsburgh Panthers, and Nittany Lions licensed apparel and merchandise for fans located in the Pittsburgh area and now with their website, for fans across the country.

The Pittsburgh Fan has its humble beginnings on a street corner in Chicago, and more specifically a street corner across from Wrigley Field. This was the site of their first retail store which was opened in 1990 to supply Chicago sports fans with authentic licensed sports apparel.
