My Celtic Jeweler Presented by
GretschCo Shopping Emporium
My Celtic Jeweler is a proud Irish Company born and bred in the Emerald Isle itself. They present fine Irish Jewelry guaranteed to be the stated purity and actual precious metal content. Under Irish law
dating back to 1637 in the reign of Charles I, all jewelry of precious metals must be assayed and stamped with the official hallmark - a fineness mark guaranteeing the purity of the gold, silver or platinum, and the official insignia of the Irish Assay Office in
Dublin Castle. No Irish jeweler would dare risk their license and livelihood by offering substandard carat weights in their creations. Each piece of jewelry you receive from My Celtic Jeweler proudly bears the stamp of excellence. Irish craftsmen have been
creating jewelry of breathtaking beauty since before the time of Stonehenge. For over 4,000 years Celtic artisans have hand crafted silver and gold into exquisite pieces of precious art - pieces that matched or exceeded the finest examples produced by any other
culture. Celtic jewelry is distinguished by its strong ties to nature and a vibrant, timeless elegance which transcends the centuries.
The romantic story of the mystical and beautiful Claddagh Ring began way back over 300 years ago in the ancient fishing village of Claddagh just outside the walls of the City of Galway on
the west coast of Ireland.
Legend has it that a local man, Richard Joyce, was captured by pirates and sold into slavery, the property of a rich Turkish goldsmith. In time Joyce became a master craftsman himself and, on earning his freedom, returned to Galway.
Back in Ireland a young woman had never stopped waiting faithfully for her true love to return. When Richard returned he presented her with the now famous Royal Claddagh gold ring - a symbol of their enduring love.
They soon married, never to be separated again. there is no sentiment more beautiful than the one Richard carried home with him in his heart and we celebrate in jewelry of all types.
The heart symbolized the love he yearned to share... the crown his undying loyalty... and the hands, friendship because it is the foundation of love and loyalty and holds the two together.
From that young man's life we all can take comfort that the goodness in one's heart can always conquer the evil of others. Evil is no match for the powers of love, loyalty and friendship. Pirates no longer sail the seas around Richard's island, but
every day men leave the shores to fish knowing that they will, if the sea is not high and the currents not too strong, return to the ones who love them.
Wearing the ring
Wear this ring on your right hand with the heart facing outwards and the world will know your heart has not yet been won. Wear it on the right hand with the heart facing inwards and it shows you have friendship and love under consideration.
But worn on your left hand with the heart turned inwards it means two loves have joined forever.
