Boutique Wines from Around the World
|
The Wine Messenger is a leading direct mail boutique wine company. The Wine Messenger’s mission is to offer their customers a broad selection of high quality wines. These wines are individually selected from small growers around
the world and delivered right to your door.
They remain in constant contact with small growers interested in selling a small percentage of their production in the U.S. market, visit them in wine regions throughout world, and discuss and import samples of their latest products. They then select what they
consider to be the best wines among them to sell in the U.S. Their quick and simple decision-making process, coupled with the fact that they don't carry wines on a permanent basis enables them to often be the first to introduce new and exciting wines and wine
regions to the U.S.

Falasco Corvina Veneto IGT 2004
Beautiful ruby red color. Delicious aromas of red fruit predominate.
Falasco Corvina is made from hand-picked grapes that are partially dried in small wood boxes before being crushed. This process allows them to put Parziale Appassimento, meaning "partly dried" on the label. The wine has the characteristic fruitiness of Corvina as well as an intensity
and concentration rarely found in this price range. The perfect pizza, pasta, and bruschetta wine.

Vecchia Torre Salento Primitivo 2002
Ruby red color. Nose of ripe fruit: plums and cherries. Powerful, yet balanced. Good fruity palate with integrated tannins. This primitivo is one of Vecchia Torre’s signature products. The Primitivo grape is the Italian ancestor of Zinfandel. Its bush-trained vines thrive on the hot and arid
plains of Salento producing rich, strong wines with character. Perfect with red meats, pastas with strong sauces, and cheese.

Chateau La Mouliniere Bordeaux Blanc 2004
Pale yellow color with floral aromas and with hints of citrus and green apple. This wine is a blend of 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Semillon, harvested at low yields. After the grapes are harvested by hand, an extended skin-contact maceration takes place. This extracts more flavor from the grapes
and creates a more substantial, fruity wine. This wine will pair nicely with oysters, shellfish, chicken or salads. |

Lyss-Doux Gruner Veltliner Eiswein 2000
Very sweet with nutty almonds in the palate, and with at least 30% residual sugar in the glass. A classic white dessert wine from Austria that has the sweetness to stand up to dessert pairings, and a very good deal for an Ice Wine. We found Riedenhof Kadlec's Lyss Doux Grüner Veltliner Ice
Wine very good, well made and with a huge concentration of sugar. To drink very cold. Great with desserts or at the end of a meal.
