Cambridge SoundWorks started as an
inventive speaker manufacturer over 18 years ago. It was founded
in 1988 by Emmy Award-winner and Audio Hall of Fame member, Henry
Kloss (founder of AR, KLH and Advent). The company then formed its
catalog business, evolved into its chain of retail stores, and
would become one of the first companies to sell consumer
electronics on the Internet. (Historical note: they sold their
first subwoofer online in 1994 via the Compuserve network.
Amazon.com sold its first book online in July 1995.)
Today, Cambridge SoundWorks is a national, multi-channel
distribution network, selling products online via
CambridgeSoundworks.com, through its Catalog and Call Center
operations and through the Cambridge SoundWorks retail chain.
Cambridge SoundWorks speakers are also distributed globally via
parent company Creative Technology Ltd.
At Cambridge SoundWorks they sell their award-winning speakers
direct from the factory, eliminating distribution costs and
